I could have wrote this as well. I had a scare too, skin cancer in April, had some biopsies and surgeries and I was just cleared yesterday. I know who will be there in trying times. ❤️ I’m so happy you’re okay Jane xo
Funny that you mentioned that - I was diagnosed with clear cell renal cell carcinoma in March, had a partial nephrectomy in June, and am now undergoing immunotherapy. In four weeks, I will go on medical leave and end my 30-year (and a half, almost) career in education - several years earlier than I had planned. It's a funny thing about plans, as John Lennon once said, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." These definitely weren't in the plans I'd made. Your post reminds me that gratitude and grace are what move us through those moments. Thanks, Jane. I hope you are well.
